Using Fresh Herbs In A Variety Of Ways

Herbs are fun and easy to grow. When collections are also the simplest meal seem a culinary delight. The use of herbs in the kitchen can easily change the flavors of your recipes in many different ways, according to which herbs are added. Herbs are great in breads, stews, soups or vegetables. You can make herb vinegars for salad dressings, marinades, or soups. Herb oils are very useful in the kitchen when the recipe requires. Fresh herbs as side dressing any dish making it look truly spectacular. Lay individual branches of rosemary lamb chops on the grill. Chop parsley and sprinkle over potato salad. The combinations are endless and the result delicious. Fresh herbs are kept in the refrigerator for several days, but then you freeze. They can be frozen, giving them a paper towel and put them in a plastic bag. Once they are frozen only used in cooking not as a meal. A friend of mine washes them, puts them in an ice cube tray, cover with water and then freezes. When needed for soups, stews or sauces just drop a cube of my favorite herbs to grow are basil, oregano, lemon balm, parsley and mint. Mint is great, but be careful, mint can over run your garden. One suggestion would be to bury an empty coffee plant mint in it. The measure to prevent the minds of "progressive" through your garden. I love to make herb butter. Take half cup softened butter and mix with about 4 tablespoons of fresh herbs. Place a piece of saran wrap, place the butter in the middle of saran wrap roll to form a "log" butter. Wash your face Pat dry and gently rub the avocado mixture. Leave it until you want, then use hot water to wash. These are just some ways you can use fresh herbs from your garden.
