Grow Your Health With Herbs

Ask the average American to define herbs and he or she will tell you that herbs are green leaves that have some medicinal properties. Some may even add that herbs like thyme and sage are used for cooking. This is how most people define herbs, knowledge, which is pretty good considering that most people are ambivalent about the actual use of herbs in their lives. An herb (word that rhymes with 'stop') is a plant that is cultivated for medicinal or culinary value. Normally, the green leaf of the plant is used, sometimes the roots are used. Woody is not a culinary herb and soft. Used for its aromatic flavor and texture, herbs are bay leaf, basil, chervil, oregano, parsley, rosemary, sage, tarragon and thyme. The world of herbal medicine is even more varied and surprising. Even the most innocuous leaf blade may have a wealth of medicinal properties. Herbal medicine is usually a shrub or other woody plants used for therapeutic purposes. Herbal medicine or phytotherapy is the practice of traditional medicine and traditional medicine which aims to "facilitate dis-" in the body using the plants and the active ingredients found in them. This resurgence of interest in herbs has been determined by various systems of holistic healing. Now more than ever, people are starting to realize that good health does not refer to the absence of disease. Rather, it is a balance of physical, mental, emotional and social. Healthcare herbal increasingly popular, because herbs provide natural stimulants that trigger the body's defense mechanisms. When orthodox medicine has taken over the integration of health care, medicinal herbs and their values have relegated to the background. One reason could be the problem of availability. Another important reason is that unlike a pill or tonic herbs usually takes longer to get an effect. Thanks to our sedentary lifestyle, processed foods and industrial progress, we have discovered a large number of chronic diseases, which were virtually unknown in the past. The drugs used to treat these diseases have side effects. Over time, these drugs are ineffective, as the human body develops resistance to drugs. After fighting off for many years, practitioners of conventional medicine are finally willing to admit that herbal extracts are an efficient source of healing. Herbal medicines provide a system of healing that is in harmony with nature. Drugs are characterized by simplicity, depth and effectiveness. They are too convenient. No side effects also greatly enhances its charm. Some interesting uses of herbs are: - chamomile sipped slowly throughout the day helps to reduce acidity and soothes the digestive system - alfalfa plant is very nutritious because it is a natural source of vitamins and minerals. - Valerian root can be used to treat insomnia. - Two cloves fresh garlic taken at night increases the resistance of the flu and colds. - Feverfew is a plant that, if taken constantly, but reduces the frequency of migraines. Herbs, like any drug, lead to a physiological change in the body. If taken continuously for long periods, can affect the body's natural ability to heal. The aim of herbs is to take the body of "balance" so that there is no need for medication. Herbs may not be the best or only pure form of medicine. Instead, it should be used as a complementary medicine to help physicians achieve the most important goal of all - your complete healing in the simplest, most efficient and short.
