Herbs are very hardy plants and forgiveness and above all do better when allowed to care for themselves. The you need to pay close attention to those that are invasive in nature. They simply have to be contained. The lavender and peppermint are examples of plants that are invasive in nature. They tend to be out of a mini garden which includes a variety of herbs. This is because they tend to take the whole garden. If you plan to include these herbs in your garden, you'll want to take action to contain them. The most common idea is to keep these herbs in your own boat. If this is not feasible for you, you should use a splitter like stone, or plastic sheeting. The soil to plant your garden in a mini should be low in nutrients and also must have lime in it. It's a good idea to mix the sand in your land, it will help retain moisture. This helps not having water for plants. Before watering the plants, you should always check the moisture. To do this, press down on the floor with your fingers. The soil should feel moist to the touch, not wet. If it forms a puddle, the soil has too much water. If the soil feels moist but the leaves need to look into the mist of a spray. A mini herb garden is very versatile. You can plant in almost any terrain. Instead of stealing from the nearby trees, which tend to help. Being of small stature means they do not steal the light or wind to other plants. They do not need much in terms of nutrients or water. This is great for you and wonderful for the other plants. When planted near vegetables, herbs tend to taste the product of these plants. This is a nice bonus for those looking to cook from her garden. Chefs love the mini herb garden because of how quickly that occurs herbs. Shortly after planting, you will notice a peak flow from the earth. Within a couple of weeks, the stems of the leaves start to grow. Most herbs will be at the maximum height of two months. This allows two systems in a season, if handled correctly. This is good news for the cook who uses a large amount of fresh herbs. Not a big deal to kill the plant through newspaper clippings. One of the best things for the mini herb garden is that it is suitable for those who are new to gardening. Herbs do best when they are constantly poked and prodded. This means there is no need to go every day and prune the plant. While pruning is important, it is best if done in moderation. The best idea when it comes to herbs is to check on them once a day. If you are doing well, you should leave alone. Give them what they want and enjoy a large garden for all season.

Drying Herbs

Now is the perfect time to harvest most herbs for use, and drying for the winter. This is very easy to do and a very simple task. Select plants that are so ready to flower, because that is when the leaves contain as much flavor. It's really a good idea to force the plants sprayed daily with water to remove insects and leaves free of dirt, insects garden waste. Never spray with chemicals before harvesting. Cut the stems in the morning before the leaves begin to grow (and the release of their oil, of course) to get the best flavor. Each plant can have up to half of its leaves (stems cut in half). This pruning will give broad leaves of grass and to encourage the plant to produce leaves. Of course, this means you will be able to obtain a second crop later in the season. Usually I put all my stems and tie with string or a piece of string. Mine are all hung upside down from the ceiling in a warm place (not on the air conditioning), so the dry leaves without mildewing. Good air circulation is essential. It may take several weeks and the drying time of each herb may vary, but the leaves are dried and then crumbles to the touch. Land put the herbs in a bag and put them into separate leaves from stems. Then I put the leaves in glass jars and store the old insulation in a cool, dry points, and discarding the stems. You can learn even more about drying herbs here. Next winter, I suggest you consider adding mint leaves, hot apple juice to have a pleasant memory of flavors and scents of summer. Before actually buying a seed or plant, should be studied so that each plant will have a difficult time caring for them. Provision for beginners, are not as bad, if you do your homework first. Be sure to choose a plant that does not require much of his time. You can control several supermarkets and garden centers around the seeds and the plants they sell the seeds are properly labeled so you do not have difficulty understanding what you plant a seed. The plants usually have a label that provides information on the treatment as well, so you can check it before you buy. There are even cookbooks that offer information on different types of grass that grows, are biased towards herbs like basil and parsley or chives, but also so they can be a good source of information for you. You can start with the choice of seed or plants using the guide: • Strong --- herbs sage and rosemary, savory herbs • strong enough to accentuate --- mint, basil, thyme Herbs for blending • -- - chives, parsley With these, you can start your herb garden. You can increase the population later if necessary. With increasing knowledge, you can add variety to your herbs. Growing Your Own Herbs

I do something 'cooking, not only for home cooked meals are cheaper than eating out every day, but also for health benefits and because in many cases simply know what I do best. E 'was only in the last month or so I started using fresh herbs in my kitchen, and I must say, has made a real difference in the taste of my kitchen, all in a good way! I have also become more generous in my use of spices and I began to wonder what exactly is the difference between herbs and spices? In general, herbs are the leaves of low growing plants such as rosemary, thyme or basil. The spices of the roots, bark, fruits or berries of plants, such as cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and pepper. Now that I've always had a problem with the way herbs are sold in supermarkets. Recipes may require a tablespoon at most, but I had to pay two dollars for a bunch of basil, more than half of whom end up in the compost pile. So I decided to grow my own. There are a couple of different ways that you can go about this. You can use the floor, or you can go hydroponic. The ground method is very basic indeed. You buy the soil, pots and seeds. Put the soil in pots, planting seeds, place in the hot sun, keep moist and in about eight to ten weeks must be collected from your home grown herbs. It can be a little time 'to work, since it must ensure that their herbaceous plants obtain water and nutrients, so if you're not home much, this can not be the way forward. You also need enough light, so that South-facing window is best. I have two indoor cats, you just do not stay out of the growers, no matter how much you punish them, so that the cultivation of potted plants was simply not an option for me. An alternative is hydropower, or a variation thereof. When I started this research, I was overwhelmed by the amount of material I could find, and frankly, the expense of buying all the things we needed was simply not worth it. Fortunately, there are units available to families through a variety of distributors and online stores that are specifically designed so you can grow your own herbs, salads, and even the tomatoes and peppers indoors. Most units are available in a variety of formats, so you buy one that is meaningful to you and your family. I found my super easy to use and very fun to watch my plants bloom in crop size in just four weeks. The only drawback is that most units use the material properties, so you have to buy seed kits and over again and that the cost may increase. The advantages are that most are a light source, so you can place anywhere in your house you have an outlet handy, and nutrients are pre-packaged so that you do not have to worry about getting the required concentration. I also participated in an online forum specifically catering for people who use these devices, and I must say they are addictive! What are you waiting for? Get growing!
